Scots Catholic

Calling Scotland's 841,000 Catholics to unite as one voice

For anyone who has had to go through an abortion, a message from the Catholic Church:

'The Church is aware of the many factors which may have influenced your decision, and she does not doubt that in many cases it was a painful and even shattering decision....The Father of mercies is ready to give you his forgiveness and his peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. To the same Father and his mercy you can with sure hope entrust your child.'

Pope (now Saint) John Paul II

Services For Anyone Affected By Abortion

For any woman who is considering abortion or who finds herself in a difficult situation it is important to know that there are people willing to listen and help. This is also the same for fathers, grandparents and anyone else affected by abortion.

There can be no bigger decision than a decision involving abortion and we feel it appropriate to let people know that help is available.

The Sisters of the Gospel of Life

The Sisters of the Gospel of Life is a local organisation based in Glasgow. They are always willing to listen and to help in whatever way they can, anyone affected by abortion. This may be someone who is considering abortion or someone who has just had an abortion and needs someone to talk to.

Although this is a Catholic organisation it is far from exclusively Catholic or Christian and is open to anyone.

They provide a helping hand at a time of real need.

Abortion Recovery Care and Helpline
